Amazon’s dark stores and partner stores
Most Amazon Now orders are packed at dark stores that carry Amazon’s own label. In smaller cities, More supermarkets also fulfil Amazon Now orders. We count those as partner stores and label them that way, never as Amazon dark stores.
How we count
- Compiled from each platform’s publicly observable store-locator information: in each read we check, signed out, which store serves each point of a close grid over every area Amazon Now serves. We never log in to any app.
- Each store’s position is the one Amazon shows for it.
- Our July (378) and August (387) counts came from an older method that found only one store per pincode, so the September count is mostly our method improving, not new openings. October 2026 is the first like-for-like month.

How many Amazon Now stores are there in India?
We observed 823 Amazon Now stores in our survey: 644 dark stores carrying Amazon's own label and 178 partner stores (176 More supermarkets and 2 others), plus 1 whose type did not show. It is our own count from publicly observable information, not a figure from Amazon.
Which cities have Amazon Now?
143 cities across 15 states in our survey. Bangalore has the most (~120), Delhi (~95), Mumbai (~55), Pune (~50), Hyderabad (~50), Chennai (~45). A city's exact count is in the Amazon Now pass.
Are More supermarkets part of Amazon Now?
Some More supermarkets fulfil Amazon Now orders, mostly in smaller cities. We count them as partner stores, separately from the dark stores that carry Amazon’s own label.
Why did the count rise from 387 in August to 823 in September?
Mostly because our method improved. Earlier counts could find only one store per pincode; in September we read locations point by point. Of the 823 stores, we first observed 370 in July, 8 in August and 445 in September. October 2026 is the first like-for-like month, so do not read the rise as openings.
Can I see every Amazon Now dark store on a map?
Yes, with the Amazon Now pass (₹1,999 for all of India, or one city from ₹99, one-time): every dark store and partner store on the map, each at street level, every area and city, and the month-by-month tracker, for this month and the next two monthly updates. Lat/long coordinates are not included; exact coordinates are a client plan.
Can I get the list as a file with locations?
Yes. The Amazon Now file has every dark store and partner store with its position, type, locality, city, state and pincode, on its own or inside The Complete India File with Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Flipkart Minutes, BigBasket and JioMart. It is priced by scope: ask with the form and we reply personally by email.
Does Amazon Now deliver to my pincode?
